Symbolizing: Grace
May I tell you a story? I finished writing the first draft of A Garden of Love in September with a deadline of publishing it sometime that same year. At least to my mind, the devotion about the iris was the most beautiful and profound, yet I had photos of every flower except the iris.
My goal was to have all photographs taken in the Gethsemane Prayer Garden where I was the caretaker. What to do when the iris blooms only in June? I had someone import cut iris flowers from South America, placed them in a jar in the garden, and then took the photo on a too sunny day. So I met my goal which was to share the love of Jesus Christ with my family members at Christmas of that year.
A few years later, I now have excellent photos of iris that were from the right garden.
